The course will be available to PDC holders from any country. Join permaculture teachers <a href="http://12pdesign.net/alfred-decker/">Alfred Decker</a> and <a href="https://permacultureglobal.org/users/20297-candela-vargas-poveda">Candela Vargas</a> for seven days of intensive training that will provide you with an invaluable toolkit to use in the classroom, as well as life in general. Together we will facilitate internationally renowned teacher <a href="http://goodlifepermaculture.com.au/interview-rosemary-morrow/">Rosemary (Rowe) Morrow’s</a> PTM training, which draws on her decades of permaculture teaching experience. Whether you’re already a teacher, or thinking of becoming one, the PTM training is designed to turn teaching into a transformative and fun exchange. Classrooms (indoor and outdoor) will never be the same again! PTM is designed for those who want to teach based on Rosemary’s participatory learning methods. She has travelled the globe for four decades, often in countries shattered by war and disasters, sharing her passion for permaculture and social justice. Her belief is that access to useful knowledge is a basic human right. Several years ago, Rosemary decided to focus on teacher training courses in order to have a “multiplier effect” believing that the bottleneck keeping permaculture from growing more rapidly is not a shortage of curriculum and experience, but rather a shortage of competent permaculture teachers. So she created this PTM course to give people the skills and confidence needed to take the big step from being a practitioner to becoming a teacher. Her pragmatic and effective approach working with and being lead by local people has created community-scale permaculture projects and outcomes across a broad range of environments from drylands in Ethiopia, to the wet tropics of Vietnam. Since his first PDC in 1998 in California, Alfred has been involved with social movements and projects throughout Europe and the Americas. Therefore she studied Biology at the University of Granada. She became a passionate activist and fighted for Climate Justice in Cop 15 when she moved to Denmark where she has been living for 8 years. In this country she studied a masters in Nature Management and completed a thesis on Forest Gardens Design and Implementation. She is cofounders of FFIRN (Food Forest International Research Network), was a member of the board of Permaculture Denmark for 5 years, a LAND advisor, a volunteer coordinator at a pioneer urban garden in Copenhagen, Byhaven 2200 and involved in many other projects as Seed Pop Up, Gift circle, and many Environmental / Cultural collectives. Candela has been teaching permaculture in Denmark, Sweden, Iceland and Spain. In Italy she enjoyed with Rowe and Alfred a great PTM course that reinforced her teaching skills and got her to be today teaching this PTM with Alfred. Since there have been no permaculture teacher courses in Sweden for many years we saw a need. And after Hans met Alfred at EUPC in Italy 2016, plans started to materialize, and have finally come to fruition this summer 2018. <h1></h1> <h1>Course Venue: Ankhult, Sambrukets cooperative farm in Sösdala (Southern Sweden)</h1> <a href="http://www.sambruket.se/">Sambruket</a> is a transition project and works to ensure that the neighbour area in which we are located will become more sustainable, with more connections between people and businesses. In this way, we want to contribute to the fact that our local area is becoming less vulnerable and more productive. In the basics, we do not wait for someone else to make the changes that are needed. Sambruket consists of 50 members and owns two properties. The course will be held at the farm Ankhult, a farm at 6 ha where we primarily produce food to members and guests. During the warm season Ankhult is a popular place for courses and meetings. The farm is located close to a lake, 1,5 km, and even closer to the forest. Klockaregården, the other property, is a larger house used primarily for meetings and indoor activities. <h1>Dates</h1> Begins: Dinner on the night of August 18th. Ends: Certificate ceremony on the night of August 25th, followed by optional dinner, party and “No Talent Show”.
