βJoin us on Mayday for this first Community Dinner & Socialiser organised by Permaculture Barcelona Hub along with our catering crew: Abbas and Made, whose solidarity-based culinary project represents the culture of Syria and Venezuela.
The Community Dinners will be regular events that open a space for integration, recognition, and collective support in building the Hub: a space dedicated to a wide range of workshops, courses, and gatherings for adults and children alike.
At the start of this event, the participants will get to know each other briefly and share the projects they are involved in. Then, Hub initiator Alfred Decker will share the vision for the project and upcoming events, after which Abbas and Made will share dynamics related to the cuisine and culture of the dinner they have prepared, exploring how the land and food function in a living system.
This first Community Dinner is a fundraising event to equip the Hub kitchen for the many delicious meals to come!

Do you want your children to discover the alchemy between art and nature while learning to care for the planet? Our permaculture, ecology and art workshop for children offers a practical, fun and educational experience in an inspiring permaculture and sustainability centre in Barcelona.
Through a variety of playful and sensory-based activities, children are invited to discover natural materials, express their imagination, and develop a deeper awareness of the environment around them.
The workshops encourage curiosity, creativity, and respect for nature, offering a warm and inspiring setting where each child can learn at their own pace.
PermaKids facilitator Daniella Querol is a Mexican visual artist, educator, and permaculturist based in Catalumya. She creates activities that allow children to observe and connect with nature with their heads, hearts and hands. Daniella is fluent in English, Spanish, Catalan, and German, so her workshops are accessible to kids from many different lands and adapted to the specific groupβs needs.
Designed for youngsters aged 5 to 14, the PermaKids activities encourage children to observe and connect to nature with their heads, hearts and hands through:
* Cooperative games
* Exploratory adventures: immersion in nature and discovery of the four elements β Earth, Fire, Water, and Air
* Sharing practices: talking circles, gratitude circles, and self connection tools (Sit Spot)
* Yoga and dance for children
* English-language learning skills
* Permaculture and sustainability principles woven into daily life through small, practical activities such as gardening and cooking
